Purpose: Facilitate and support transformational strategies for economic revitalization and commercial core redevelopment of Incline Village. Organize campaigns such as beautification and work with Washoe County on traffic improvement projects that facilitate and support commercial core improvements for the sustainability of Incline Village and Crystal Bay, NV.
Organization: IV Main Street is a program run by IVCBA Community and Business Association. It is run by IVCBA Executive Director Linda Offerdahl and part-time Manager, Jonathon Gardner. Beautification committees are chaired by volunteers. Focus groups are held to engage and get feedback from various stakeholder groups. Washoe County supports it with a one-time community reinvestment grant of $75,000. Incline Tahoe Foundation is a partner that accepts charitable donations for the Beautification Campaign. Main Street USA: IV Main Street is an “Exploring” level member of the national organization and the Nevada Main Street. Main Street is a holistic approach to downtown revitalization that includes historic preservation, community development, beautification, and economic vitality. The Main Street approach has 4 key points: organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality. |
